SENIOR ACCOUNTING and TAX MANAGER

A financial services firm (CPA and Consulting) in the Geauga County area is looking to hire a Full time Tax & Accounting Manager for our multi-dimensional team. This individual will be responsible for production accounting and tax aspects of the business and individual clients. This includes reviewing projects pertaining to tax compliance, accounting and tax planning.
In addition, the position requires collaboration with other team members to identify solutions pertaining to tax strategies, structural planning and client operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Preparation and review of all business, trust and personal income tax returns
Financial statement preparation and accounting support for clients
Participation in tax and financial planning meetings
Collaboration with other team members to develop tax savings strategies and other financial solutions for customers
Heavy client facing and interaction

Qualifications:

Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree
CPA certificate required
Requires at least five years of relevant experience in public accounting, one to two as a CPA
Strong client-facing and communication skills
Strong passion for servicing the client
High level of detail orientation
High level of proficiency in Quickbooks
Knowledge of the Thomson CS Suite of software
Internet and tech savvy; We like computers, Apple and the cloud
Ability to travel occasionally
Can manage a flexible schedule without sacrificing productivity
Work well without direct supervision
